Borderless Charity™ Focused on the Meaning of the Season

At Borderless Charity, we are delighted to have the opportunity to lead and participate in some very worthy causes that make this holiday season more special for individuals and groups who are struggling. Having recently received our 501 (c) (3) designation from the IRS, we immediately set out to make a difference.

Tax deductible donations are flowing in and we are ever so grateful to all of the individuals and organizations who have contributed. Our very first donation came to us from Scott Grazier. His $2500 donation is matched by his employer, resulting in a sizable contribution to our holiday fundraising goals.

Among the projects Borderless Charity is sponsoring is a toy drive in honor of two causes honoring Zachary Scott Glazier, Justice for Zach and Zach’s Bears. Zach lost his life on August 8th, 2014. Borderless Charity volunteers recruited donations and participated in a hugely successful event on 12/13, where toys and bears were distributed to children in need in the Washington, NC area in Zach’s honor.

Organization volunteers also recently participated in the St. Augustine Hurricane Recovery efforts, an initiative focused on assisting St. Augustine, FL residents impacted by Hurricane Matthew. Volunteers adopted a displaced family, providing winter clothing and food donations. They also donated a turkey and helped to serve dinner to over 500 St. Augustine residents on Thanksgiving day.

Watch for photos on our web site, www.borderlesscharity.org, of both of these events. As we enter the Christmas season, we at Borderless Charity live and love these words from Dr. Seuss as he professes, “…Maybe Christmas doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas means a little bit more.”
